5 Items and tools for the Geeks....

This post will be dedicated to all the Geeks out there. I too, am a geek in hiding. Here are 5 items and tools for me to pass over to my fellow geek members.

One Unite from the Internet Browser Opera has many cool features that you can use to enhance your availability to your information. Your can stream your music, show your photos and setup galleries for others to see. You can also broadcast your own webcam to the public, as will as provide a remote access to your local Web server which allows you to execute PHP/Perl/Phython/ect scripts. It will also allow you to turn your files and folders at home, that you destinate to view, into a FTP so you can get to any files that you need without uploading it (which Opera clams you will not have to upload the file). For all those people that have Websites you can also host your own page through Opera. This a a lot of ability's within one application call Unite.

WinRar is just like WinZip that you have used within your class assignments, but this program has more ability's to Zip and Unzip many more formats then what WinZip can do. WinRar has been a program that I have used for many years, and has come into great usage through out my time. There has been many files that I have came across that WinRar can open up but not WinZip. Again if you are using WinZip go ahead and take one step further and download WinRar.

PrimoPDF 5.0.0.19 is a nice fature turning any text object into a PDF file without the struggle of opening the program, copy, and paste the information. Just place your cursor within the object that you want to convert and hit your print command to turn it to a PDF file. You can also encrypt it when you convert your document to add that extra security. Other PDF convertors are expensive, but this PrimoPDF software is a great program, saves time, and best of all its free.

PhotoScape 3.4 is a nice fun software that allows your to edit photos, and use some of the adobe features without the big price. It can support your JPEG and PNG files and many other formats. It is described by the Publisher's description as "PhotoScape being an all-in-one style photo editor with fun and ease of use." It has many abilities, but the major capabilities are: Viewer, editor, batch editor, page combine, animated GIF, print, splitter, screen capture, color picker, rename, raw converter, resizing, brightness/color/white-balance adjustment, back-light correction, frames, balloons, text, drawing pictures, cropping, filter, red eye removal and blooming. Easy to load and quick to execute, and not a heavy program to run on your computer.

BtProx is a interesting software that I have tested on my laptop that help ensure my security lock. It is a Bluetooth Proximity Lock Utility that runs on your computer or laptop that uses little to virtually no memory usage. It locks your computer when you go away from it for a certain time period, which you can adjust the time to your liking. Here is how it is done. It connects to your Bluetooth devices being a iPhone, iTouch, headset, or any other devices. Once you walk away from your computer and it does not pick up your Bluetooth device anymore the timer starts. When the timer reaches the set time to lock your computer it will not be able to do anything until that Bluetooth device returns to the computer. It is nice if you want to have that extra security on your computer and just removing the Bluetooth receiver will not change the fact that the computer will be locked.

Well here are some of my secrets that I have let you in on. I will not tell you all my favorite, but at least I gave you a glimpse taste of what I have in my tool shed. Here are some links to the different tools and items that I have listed above. Hope you enjoy them as much as I have and "May the force be with you".

Pre-released iPhone 4 leads to Police Raid

When you were young at age, did your parents ever told you think before you act? Well mine did and I would say this is one of those times when what you do can affect you in the future. Apparently a week ago a surprising and unheard of, announcement of the iPhone 4 was leaked out by Jason Chen, which works with Gizmodo through his home. Gizmodo published the details about the Apple's next-generation by paying for a left behind iPhone 4 for $5000. There is no information on how it was left, but it was accident left in a bar area downtown by a tester named Gray Powell, Apple Software Engineer. When the iPhone was leaked Apple took matters into their own hand and pushed for a search warranty for all of Chen computer property. From computers, cameras, hard drives, business cars and computers servers from his house were taken by the police.

A judge from the San Mateo County, in California, said the reason for the raid of Chen's house was a possible felony that might have been committed. Although Chen has not be charged yet for a crime, the warrant was due to the unreleased iPhone 4 and it gives the police authority to look for emails, and any other documentations related to the gadget.

Gizmodo is outraged by the actions that has been taken place, and Gawker Media, who owns Gizmodo, has stated that the raid is unlawful because Chen works within his own home. It is protected by the journalistic protection, and his house is his newsroom.

Chen is upset about his property being taken away and he states that he found his door 'Kicked Down' when he returned from coming home after dinner. When he enters through his door he found the police searching through his house. So what are your opinion about this matter? Is it justice or is it a act of retaliation? You decided. Has the court took this matter too far, or did Chen got what he deserved?

More information can be found about the lose of the iPhone 4 at This Link and information about the raid can be found Here.

Special thanks to Modmyi website for the information related to this topic, as well as to Gizmodo for the picture and added insight information.

WePad....?? don't you mean iPad...

That right, there is a product in Germany that will be release in July called, "WePad". Apparently, it has all, and more, what the iPad did not have. With bigger specs and a bigger screen, WePad is coming strong, and catching a lot of attention.
The WePad has a bigger screen, webcam, more memory, and USB ports for other devices to attach (like your USB thumb drives and any other USB devices) to your 'WePad'. Pre-Orders will be accepted on April 27, 2010, and the device will be shipped out in July. This device runs on a Linux Base Operating System, and also supports Flash and many other application such as Java and Adobe AIR. The screen is 11.6" (1366 X 768) compared to the iPad's 9.7" (1024 X 768) and yes it is a touchscreen using the same technology 4 to 6 touch sensors. The processor on this device is a 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N450 Pineview-M and also kicks 1GB of memory compared to iPads 256mb of Ram. The webcam that is on the WePad is a 1.3 Megapixel with also 2 USB ports, Card reader, Audio output, SIM card slot, and a Multi-Pin Connector.

The applications for this device will be from WePad Meta-Store, which will be available on the same time as the device is released. It also supports for native, Java, Linux, Adobe AIR and Android Apps. Everyone heard that Apple has changed their policy in their contract to not allow 3rd party usage for Apples' Application, which by the way is a huge setback on the companies making these applications, and lost about 35% companies which made Apple's applications. This would not even surprise me if the 35% move over to WePad to continue making these apps. The battery life is only 6 hours but even then that is plenty of time to play with your device while waiting for that doctors visit. It also supports ePub, PDF, TXT, Mobipocket, and WeBook premium format at Q 4/10.

The connections for this beast is Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, and Wi-Fi of course with a/b/g/n, with also the option to upgrade the device to a 3G Network (UMTS/HSDPA). It has GPD through their 3G model and a nice stereo output to tell you where to go.

It has all the neccessary accessoires like a docking station, case and sleeve for the device, wireless keyboard, and a broad support for the standard PC peripherals.
The best part is it really simulars to the iPad design except without the 'Home' button at the bottom. Nice and slick looking weighting at only 1 lb with the dimensions of 11.3" long, 7.5" wide, and 0.5" thick.

Price of the WePad

Wepad......16GB+, WLAN.........................499 Euro (671.39 USD)
WePad 3G..32GB+, WLAN... 3G....GPS.....569 Euro (765.58 USD)

(SD Card port allows up to 32GB for storage expansion on both models)

Unfortunately, it is not announced if it will be available to the US or not, but being such a great product I'm pretty sure it will be available soon after July. Keep a eye out on any information related to a update about this product, and if you find out if it will be available to the US, please post a comment to inform the readers. I will also continue to keep a eye on this product as well and any further information will be posted under comments.

For more information please click the WePad site. Picture and information proved through WePads website.

Going Green is on the Mov(e)....ies.....

Have you ever went to a 3D film, and enjoy yourself until the movie was done? Have you ever though what the theater did with those glasses? Did you know that the 3D glasses that you were wearing were non-biodegradable? Some theaters just throw them away, others just place them in storage until a new 3D film comes along.

Cereplast and Oculus 3D are creating a new set of 3D glasses that might just change the outlook of what business and consumers, like you and me, purchase. Introducing the first, Biodegradable 3D glasses, made from plant materials and petroleum-based plastic. The glasses are already in the process of being made, and will be ready to ship them out to the market by this summer. This is a great way to help out the environment, and recycle the glasses material when done with the film. Moviegoers have the ability to either dispose of the glasses after the film, or save them for later use. This would be great not just for the movies, but also for the 3D TVs that are being sold today. These glasses can be washed up to 500 times before they will need to be recycled, unless cracks, scratches, and any other damages that might appear after usage.
Two thumbs up on this idea and my hats off to Cerplast and Oculus 3D for looking into the future for the care of the world. For more information you can click here.

Double the Network can be more Secure than One

Paul Kocher, founder and president of Cryptography Research, and Tory Kallman, director of information technology, in front of Kocher's collection of antique encryption devices.
(Picture Credit: James Martin from CNET)

A company by the name of Cryptography Research has notice an increase within their network productivity by separating their traffic onto separate networks. Network A is dedicated to the sensitive data and core engineering work, all the inside networking jobs without being connected to the internet. Network B is dedicated to the email, Web surfing, and other Internet activities.
This may sound like the more logical thing to do to reduce the network traffic within the business, but it also allows a secure way of protecting their clients sensitive data. Paul Kocher said to the CNET reporters, "We built the networks out at least 10 years ago as soon as we started getting really sensitive client data. We had to decide whether to secure the infrastructure that was connected to the outside, or to build a parallel system. We have been repeatedly thankful we did what we did and have never looked back." By doing a parallel setup on their network they saved time, money, and gave their company a more secure structure within their security.
To subnet your network within your company to allow each project to be on a separate line, why not subnet more than 2 for a company to allow an even tighter security. Sometimes doing this separate network is a good thing, but it is more to manage and more time (Hours) will need to be placed for workers to monitor each network. So in a way, it can lead to a bigger expense than what the company wants to get into. Keep in mind, to separate the network, you would need to establish more hardware material meaning more network cable, routers, access points, switches, and much more hardware. Also not everyone would need Network A if they are not a part of the core engineer project. The more people that are attached to the Network the greater the risk for holes to be established within your security. Groups of people can be disconnected within the network to reduce the network attacks within your system.

So what do you think, leave a comment to establish a GO or a NO for multiple network. Also leave your opinion on why you choose GO or NO. For more information related to the Cryptography Research click on this link. GO TO CNET.

Virtual Pets

While looking this week to find a topic for the weekly blog, I stumble onto something that I found interesting. Of course, my kids wants something new to play with, but the toys do not last for a long time. I was out shopping for some new speakers for my iPod for outside and stumble onto a video game from PlayStation 3 called, Eye-Pet. I have seen the PlayStation's Camera in some games, and the appearance of the game was not appealing enough to purchase the game. This game however, was very appealing to my eyes. With the price of $40, $60 if you do not own a PS3 camera, this game has a Virtual animal that looks like a small monkey like figure as a pet. Instead of purchasing a pet for your kids to have, and you have to clean up, this pet allows your kids to experience the responsibilities of a pet without having to jeopardizing a real animal's life. This Eye-Pet allows your kids, or even adults, to feed, clean, entertain, and customize your Virtual Pet. A short video will be displayed to show you more information about this game. The music playing within the background of the video is by, Tommy Sparks-"She's Got Me Dancing".

I'm still amazed on the detail they included within this game. You can draw a picture and show it to the camera, then the pet redraws what you drew and turns it into an actual toy to play with it. It can do planes and ride the plane, or draw a car to chase the pet with until he smashes it. There are a lot of other toys that you can play with as well as items that you can use interact with the pet. Design the pet to look like anything you want, paint his fur, lengthen or shorten his fur in different places on his body, or have him wear silly outfits for enjoyment. It is great for kids entertainment, but also a good game for the adults too that would like a pet without the hassle of cleaning after it. For PlayStation I give this game a 9 out of 10 for creativity and graphical looks. Virtual materials are getting more common within todays time period. Something tells me that this is not the end of seeing simulator games like this.

For more information you can go to the PlayStation EyePet website or EyePet TM website.

First Web Printer.......

HP has been hooked on touch base systems and devices. With HP tablets, HP TouchSmart Desktops, to even HP TouchSmart Printers, HP is looking for away to get ahead of the competition with physical contact with devices. The new product that is out there is a printer called, HP PhotoSmart Premium TouchSmart WEB All-in-One. Thats right it's a long title, but did you notice the word WEB? It caught my eye when I was searching for something to discuss with the class on my topic of choice for this week. Apparently this is the first printer to print Web contents like coupons, maps, movie tickets, and puzzles right from the Printer without a computer. I'm starting to notice that HP devices are getting more advance to where the devices are becoming their own foundation without the need for a computer.

The HP PhotoSmart Premium TouchSmart Web All-in-One has a nice 4.33" touchscreen CGD(Color Graphics Display) with TouchSmart Control Panel display. With print resolutions 9600X2400 optimized dpi color and print speed of 32ppm(color)/33ppm (black). It takes all memory card sticks even SDHC. It has self built in Photo Brightening and adaptive lighting, along with the Smart Focus and Red-eye Removal, so you will not have to do hardly any adjustment. It can scan and copy as well as print without the need for a computer. It has a outer USB port, for any mass storage devices with USB connector. It has self build Ethernet, WiFi 802.11n, and Bluetooth. All around this printer is really built to be use as a single device as well as an attached printer to a computer. It also has a application feature built in, you can even download apps. from the internet onto the printer to allow more usages of your printer.

This devices uses Snapfish.com for accessing the content through the web without using a computer. It uses a feature called Save Time that gives direct access, to upload your photos, editing them, and use Snapfish.com to print them. Being the first device to access the web and print content from it is a opening to another path of direction in technology. People are trying to find more reasons to separate devices from computers to be more independent we will soon not need a computer anymore. Everything will be just that, a computer. If this is a good idea or not, it is to early to tell. Each market place would like to see their component to be the next big thing, but sometimes getting bigger is not necessarily better.

Here is a short video of the printer by CNET technology.

As you can see CNET did not give too good of a review about this printer.

Fake Cores from NewEgg

On March 4, 2010 there were at least 5 separate incidents, totaling 9 fake processors reported all over the web. The customers all purchased the CPUs from Newegg.com within the past few days.
Newegg discovered of reported 300 counterfeit Intel Core i7 920 CPUs. Some of the 300 were shipped to consumers that purchased the processor. The counterfeit processor would growth to the amount of $85,000 USD.

The packages contained blank manuals and documentation with typos and other errors, as well as a "huge hunk of plastic" where a fan should have been, and a processor without pinout connections.
Newegg.com replied that the processors were "demo units," to HardOCP, which originally reported the story.
Although Newegg has promised to replace the processors as quickly as they can, this is a hard hit for the company itself.

Intel is aware of the counterfeit i7 920 packages and is working to find out how many were sold, as well as where they are being sold. Intel also expressed should buyers notice their package is a counterfeit to contact their place of purchase to have it replaced. The customers also should contact their local law enforcement agency if the place of purchase refuses to help.

Microsoft's "Help Key" hurting computers????

Oh no, it looks like Microsoft seems to be having more issues within their internet program Internet Explorer. Microsoft went on a public announcement to warned personnel's about the new opening within their program. This opening is allowing Malicious programs to enter within your computer with just a push of a button. It may be a surprised to you of what button it is.... your F1 key.

It seems that the only OS that are in harm's way would be Windows 2000, XP, and server 2003 based systems. The problem is in the Visual Basic Scripting which interacts with the 'Help Files' program. Microsoft said that the Malicious web site would show a Dialog box that would prompt you to hit your F1 key, which will install malware on your computer therefore corrupting it. Microsoft have put out information to retain from hitting your F1 key, and has asked all personnel's that have the older OS to place their Local Internet security zone settings to "High" to block ActiveX Controls and Active Scripting. They have also put out to have your IE to prompt you before running any Active Scripting or just to disable the active Scripting all together.

Seems like Malicious programs are getting stronger and crafter by the minute. Which means more security prep for Microsoft to worry about. It doesn't seem like there will be a security patch put out for the older OS, but Microsoft has information on their website to help within the situation. Although Windows Server 2003 will be provided with a service patch to take care of this minor issue.

More information can be found at TechCNet.com or if you believe that you have been affected by this issue you can visit this site dedicated by Microsoft Consumer Security Support Center website. For information related to this opening you can find at Microsoft TechNet.

LIGHTS IN THE SKY

LOOK!!! Up in the sky it's a bird, it's a plane, no it's these little LED copters making a picture. I know what your thinking, "I can't believe he just used a cheesy line for his opening topic. But this by far the most interesting topic that I have ever read. The next generation of Art Illusion using technology. A device that the SENSEable City and ARES Labs at MIT are working on.

MIT has created a device called Flyfire that hovers in the air carrying Autonomous LED in the little copters to create a beautiful image. They take a digital image and group the image into tiny dots of different colors making the digital image into a huge picture within mid air. One of the great steps within this device, as you can see in the Mona Lisa picture from up top, is the whole image is 360 degrees. The reason for this is on the copper hanging from the propellers is a ball that puts out the dot color that is needed displaying a full output instead of a one sided image.

The helicopter is a small device about the size of a golf ball and has different color-changing LED within the device. The instruments that are use within the chopper are small and there is talk that nano-technology is going to be put into play within these devices to make them even smaller than they already are.

Here is a brief video about the devices and what they can do.

For more information about this device you an go to MIT education site by clicking here.
Thanks goes out to Popular Science Online for the heads up about the flyfire related to this article.

Windows Mobile 7

Microsoft is coming out not just with a new interface, but a whole different mobile OS all together. Striving to push Microsoft back in the front lines of mobile phones, with Apple at the top. There are other companies besides Apple that are threating in taking the lead with BlackBerry, Google's Android, and many other top brands barking at the front gates making it tougher for Microsoft to reach their goals. Microsoft is hoping this new change will pull them back into the market with the mobile phone business, but also introducing this OS as the "next biggest thing". Strange that we hear that phrase a lot within the beginning of the year from many different companies. Steve Ballmer, Mircosoft CEO, told CNN that there are 7 based smartphones that will be manufactured. The companies that will manufacture these smartphones are: Qualcomm, Samsung, LG, HTC, HP, Dell, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba, and Garmin-Asus.

The applications for Windows Mobile 7 comes with music, pictures, contacts, IM's, and even Xbox Live built in. It has other features with it, too many to describe all of it. I have a video in place so you can see a peek of what it is about. This video came from Microsoft YouTube website.

Just click here for more Information. about Windows 7 for Mobiles or to see what others think within this product. We thank CNN technology, and Microsoft for all the information that was provided within this article.

New Viper Car Remote, ON A IPHONE

Applications on the iPhone, or iTouch, are more than just for playing games. Software companies are looking into using these devices into our everyday lives. Viper has join the band wagon within the market for iPhones applications. Now you can lock, unlock, open your trunk, use your panic, or even Start your Car with their software. The application is free but the device to install in your vehicle is sitting from $300-500 depending on the model of your car. That might sound like a lot of money, but this is around the same amount of money that a high end Viper alarm system for your car cost anyways. If your surround your life around your gadgets, and a iPhone is one of them, than you might want to look into this device if you are considering on upgrading your security on your vehicle.
One of the nice feature about this application is, unlike other security system, this will alert your iPhone when ever it has been activated (NO LIMIT on your distance). You can open your doors, or lock them, where ever you are at. If you are at another state and someone needs to get into your car back at home, you can unlock your vehicle without being near it. For this feature their is a $30 yearly fee for satellite usage.
All in all this device gets a 7 out of 10 view for me.

Ares I-X Program gets the BOOT, but NASA is growing more into Technology....

If you don't know what the Ares I-X Program is then let me inform you about it. It's a $9 billion project used for the Orion crew vehicles and Ares rockets to go to outer space through NASA. The Ares I-X will stay on earth and will no longer fly anymore. Well you may ask yourself what does that have to do with computers and technology, that's more related to science. Well I can tell you this, even though they have discontinued the program, NASA is now more focused on advancing in robotics technology more than ever.
In the press conferences on Sunday 1/31/2010 at the White House when Peter Orszag, Office of Management and Budget Director, announced that the Constellation Program is dead and now moving NASA more into, "advance robotics and other steps that will help to inspire Am
ericans and not just return a man or
a woman to the Moon but undertake the longer range research that could succeed in human spaceflight to Mars.", quoted by Popular Science magazine.

Since focusing on more technical robotic devices, like Spirit and Opportunity rovers on Mars, will allow us to go further and longer in time within space to collect even greater information. It also means safer missions sent out without harming humans lives in the process. Plus, it will be cheaper in the long run as well. Cutting the price from a $6-8 billion project to a huge drop of only $800 million per project. That might still sound like a lot, but compared to $8 billion that will loosen some of these massive money outputs, and place that money into other projects where it is needed. This will also open up more within technology and advance more into this field allowing more employees within the IT field to be needed. The direction is moving to technology within all fields, this is just one of the areas that it will advance even more.

Apple's Conventions Coming and Rumors are Flying

The Apple Convention is coming up, and more people are taken a look at what is going on with Apple today.
From the financial side of Apples, their sells raising to a massive 50% from the same quarter from a year ago, more peoples interested are turning heads on seeing what Mac has to offer. From the article listed below at the bottom of this post, Apples sales surprised Wall Street when they where expecting Apple to only produce about $1.70 per share and around $11.3 billion, but with the prices so low on some of the Apples products they manage to pull $3.74 per share and $15.6 billion. If you don't know math that well it is about twice as much as what they where expecting to pull. One of the biggest items from Apple that pull the most money on the market was the iPhone's alone, kicked out $9 million in sales, and that isn't counting the iTouch, nor the iPod's. Apple also decided on a new accounting principle from the Financial Accounting Standards Board. If you would like to know more on how Apple's Financial Statics is click on this link. More on the related Article.

The closer to the Convention means more RUMORS are spreading fast about the new technology related to Apple.

Apple is pulling out the big guns on keep their new products under wraps so it will not be link to the public, but that doesn't mean that rumors can't fly around. Apparently, a lot of information is being guessed upon when it comes to some of Apple's product before the announcement at the Convention. One of the things that a lot of people are talking about, and I would say it is the most talked about piece of technology for years, is the Apple Tablet. This item has been talked about for years, about 6 years more or less, but it is finally confirmed that they will announces something about it at this convention. Now, what the rumors are, and please keep in mind that a lot of this is talk around other new sites, apparently the tablet might not just be wireless for our Mobile Techies, but they are in the works of making it also 3G as well. Why not, iPhone's have it in their device so let's put it in the tablet as well. But seriously, Apple is in the discussion on whom they are going to carry the 3G network on the tablets, AT&T or Verizon *or both, but little information is being put out, and Apple don't want to put any information out before the convention. Also some of the big hype about this tablet is that it is going to be cheap, well your definition of cheap, but less expensive for not only the business but also the customers of the common household. Apples has already made a statement to the public that this device will not cost over $1,000 but more within the price of $700-900. With that price you might see a lot of people with the tablets rather than a laptop. Not much is said about the OS on the tablet, but hints of the style more on the iPhone's/ iTouch's, but with more features of the regular Mac OS inter graded as well. Although it is said and some what confirm that the tablet will LOOK like a oversize iPhone, sadly we as customers are praying that this tablet will not BE a HUGE iPhone. If so there might be a lot of very disappointed people. People hope that Apple makes a great outcome with this tablet, and look forward to see what Apple has to deliver. To read more about these Rumors click on this link to see more.

2010 International CES Show

About 2,500 technology companies showed up at this convention to show off their newest tech products. For some it was to show off their gadgets for other retailers to see, but for others it was a chance to announce the new big things of 2010. The company Microsoft opened up with some of their new technology that we will be seeing in the future. They showed a lot of new things but the two biggest ones were...

The Xbox 720, being a non-controller video console where the controller is "YOU". It's a camera base video console that watches and hears everything that you do and applies it to the game itself. The next big things in the gaming world. It reaches out to those that play games but also to those that are not big on playing them because they are not good with controllers. It takes the meaning of gaming into a different level and a new world.

HP tablet, that's right the new tablet that Microsoft and HP have been working on for awhile was announced and confirmed at the CES show. Not that we are not surprised about this device because that was one of the BIGGEST reasons why everyone showed up. There have been rumors that Apple and Microsoft have been working on a tablet device that will take a new step within technology. Being that Apples' convention is in Feburary, which I will be posting about it after it happens, Microsoft saw this as a opportunity to get the jump on their product being announce before Apple. Now from what was shown, HP tablets comes in the size of 5" to 15" screens but no specs nor amount was talked about within the event. Of course they have to leave out a little bit of information to keep the consumers' interest. I'm pretty sure that it will be announced once they get a better look at the Apple tablets when they are announced in Feburary.

Now that was Microsoft's 2 biggest announcements but there was one thing that was just as HUGE and it wasn't Microsoft who announced it. It was a multiple of TV companies that was hogging some of the attention. TVs??? But we know all about the LED and LCD TVs and their HD quality's, what could possible be the big talk about them.....ummm how about 3D?. YES, that's right TVs are now going to be 3D. What has this world come to?

Well of course to be a 3D TV you need more then just the TV. So far ESPN is supporting their sports and news in a 3D event but it will not be until mid June before they will have that available for ordering though your company. On the bight side I heard that the Super Bowl might be in 3D but they are working on it. Don't worry if you don't have 3D because it will be shown in 2D as well for those that can't afford the 3D TVs. Oh yeah, the cost of a 3D TV will be around $4,000 - 7,000 depending on the size you want. Of course that is the usual when new TVs do come out, but I'm sure the price will drop in due time to where everyone can afford one. You also must wear the 3D glasses which will run about $150-200 each. It should come with the TV and I'm sure one does, but you have to buy more in order for anyone else to view the TV in 3D. TV + Glasses + qualified 3D station is what is needed for this special device.

First and foremost, WOW, this is my first time ever writing a blog so please bare with me in achieving this goal. LOL.

I am currently a student at Edgecombe Community College going for my Associates' Degree within Computer Interface Technology. I am a father of 2 sons, and a loving husband to a beautiful wife. *Sorry my wife is standing beside me reading this. I love to make people smile and I am really good on breaking the "Ice" when it come to meeting new people. I have a happy upbeat personality and a loving caring atmosphere. I'm not really into the book learning but if you give me a project or have hands on projects I will achieve and over achieve what is require to me. I have a hard time doing exactly what people expect of me to do because I always try to do that and more than what is asked. I like projects and I love to be a overachiever, but sometimes that is my flaw. I don't mean to do so but it is just something that I recently have been shown that more is sometimes not better.

I have built a lot of computer in my pass time and all of my previous computers that I've owned have been build by me. I have worked on computers for about 14 years and have worked at Computer Connections for 4 years working on other peoples computers. I have had experiences within hardware and software and troubleshooting computers within these 14 years. I worked also at Office Depot as the Tech Manager, and keeping up with all the new technology was one of my main requirement within my job.

I am really hype on this class, CTS 287, and looking forward to some great and new topics relating to technology. I believe that this class will be the most Interesting class, yes I meant to capitalize Interesting for excitement, ever. I am going to have a lot of fun on this class.

Looking forward to spending this time and event with my fellow class partners, which by the way I would like for each class member to respond to this post so I would know who is in the class with me. Congratulations on signing up in this class and hope that it has not scared you away yet. {Robin stay with me on this class, lol, and call me if you don't know what to do. =) }

Happy late Holidays and future holidays to come. Wait, can we use abbreviations in this class like lol, jk, or btw, Tech talk. I would hope so, because that will add on into this blogging ordeal. Anyways enough of me ranting and I hope to read others blog soon.
